Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading and more, in upcoming video games. The GB203 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 378 mm² and 45,600 million transistors. It features 10752 shading units, 336 texture mapping units, and 112 ROPs. Also included are 336 tensor cores which help improve the speed of machine learning applications. The card also has 84 raytracing acceleration cores. NVIDIA has paired 24 GB GDDR7 memory with the GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 2295 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2617 MHz, memory is running at 2000 MHz (32 Gbps effective).
