Performance Rating
The P106-090 was a professional graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on July 31st, 2017. Built on the 16 nm process, and based on the GP106 graphics processor, in its GP106-090-A1 variant, the card supports DirectX 12. The GP106 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 200 mm² and 4,400 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB, which uses the same GPU but has all 1280 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the P106-090 to reach the product's target shader count. It features 768 shading units, 48 texture mapping units, and 48 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 3,072 MB GDDR5 memory with the P106-090, which are connected using a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1354 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1531 MHz, memory is running at 2002 MHz (8 Gbps effective).
