Performance Rating

The STG-2000 was a performance-segment graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on September 30th, 1995. Built on the 500 nm process, and based on the NV1 graphics processor, in its STG2000X-B variant, the card supports DirectX 1.0. Since STG-2000 does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The NV1 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 135 mm² and 1 million transistors. It features 1 pixel shader and 0 vertex shaders, 1 texture mapping unit and 1 ROP. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). NVIDIA has paired 1 MB FPM memory with the STG-2000, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 75 MHz, memory is running at 50 MHz.
