The Switch GPU 16nm was a performance-segment gaming console graphics solution by NVIDIA, launched on August 16th, 2019. Built on the 16 nm process, and based on the GM20B graphics processor, in its ODNX10-A1 variant, the device supports DirectX 12. The GM20B graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 100 mm² and 2,000 million transistors. It features 256 shading units, 16 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA includes 4 GB DDR4 memory, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 384 MHz, which can be boosted up to 768 MHz, memory is running at 1600 MHz.
